How Collaboration and Innovation Drive Claudio’s Journey

At just 34 years old, Claudio has already become an invaluable part of Bolton’s International division. His expertise in managing financial reporting for the Swiss and Austrian markets, along with his collaborative approach, highlights his potential. With nearly five years at Bolton, Claudio’s journey reflects a commitment to growth, team spirit, and tackling challenges head-on.

What led you to Bolton, and what is your current role within the company?

"I’ve been with Bolton for five years now, and it’s been a truly enriching experience. My journey started with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Palermo, followed by a Master’s in Administration, Finance, and Control from Bocconi University in Milan. Before Bolton, I began my career as an auditor, then moved into managing financial statements. In December 2019, I joined Bolton Swiss as a Business Controller, overseeing both Bolton Swiss and Bolton Austria. My role involves delivering comprehensive financial reporting and equipping management with the right tools and analyses for strategic decision-making. It’s a role that keeps me engaged every day, with a strong focus on making data-driven decisions that shape the future of the company."

What has been the most rewarding aspect of your role so far?

"The most rewarding part of my role is the incredible sense of camaraderie within Bolton. It’s more than just teamwork—there’s a deep, familial connection among colleagues. Everyone is always ready to lend a hand, share expertise or work together to solve problems. This culture of collaboration is particularly valuable when we’re faced with challenges, and it makes delivering results a fulfilling experience. Additionally, each year presents new challenges that require fresh perspectives and creative solutions, ensuring that my work is never repetitive but always stimulating."

As someone with a background in finance, what advice would you offer young professionals in similar fields?

"My advice would be to approach data with a critical mindset. Don’t just look at the numbers—dive deeper to uncover the story they’re telling. Understanding what truly enables you to make informed decisions. Also, don’t underestimate the power of collaboration. Whether you're working across teams in different markets or with colleagues in similar roles, open communication can lead to faster problem-solving and innovative ideas. Bolton is a place where cross-functional collaboration is encouraged, and it’s a key to growing both as a professional and as part of a team."

How has Bolton’s culture contributed to your professional development?

"Bolton’s culture has been integral to my professional growth. The company fosters an open and inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued, and that encourages collaboration across teams. This supportive culture has enabled me to expand my skill set, think strategically, and develop the leadership abilities necessary to thrive in my role. Bolton isn’t just about achieving targets—it’s about doing so together, with the shared vision of taking the company to greater heights."

What excites you most about the future at Bolton?

"I’m genuinely excited about the continuous growth opportunities that Bolton offers. Whether it’s enhancing financial processes, adapting to new market demands, or exploring untapped opportunities, there’s always something new on the horizon. The dynamic nature of the company keeps me motivated, and the prospect of being part of its journey toward further success is something I’m really looking forward to. What excites me most is how we evolve together, pushing the boundaries and striving for excellence in everything we do."
